Yeah, there has to be a better solution. I’m pretty confident that you can get it working with your new PC.

I think that the z22’s cable is just a regular USB, and the software is for Mac and PC. I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be compatible with your new PC, so I’m sure that you can figure out an adequate solution.

Unfortunately, I threw out my old PC. It was a dinosaur! Ten years old! I do have the hard drive, though. I will take it to the place that \built\ my old PC and see what they can do. ~ I so appreciate your suggestions and I will post my results once I have a solution!

Laura: Do you still have your previous computer available? I think you could still hook your z22 up to that and export all of your data. At least you could then import it into some other program.

It’s also possible that you can get a new docking setup for the z22 that would allow it to interface with your new PC.

I purchased a Palm z22 five years ago and have enjoyed it thoroughly. the device is simple to use, holds an incredible amount of information, is easy to make updates through the computer as well as perform sychronizations that work so well! My problem, is that I just bought a new computer and my Palm device is incompatible. There is no way I can transfer my Palm data to my new PC. Palm, Inc. does not support this device any longer, so I am distressed. How can I go about transferring five years of information to another device/source? I’m afraid I will have to go through the tedious task of having to write down all my data off the Palm onto a notebook. So much for modern technology! It seems that I have come full circle and will have to rely on a Little Black Book once again.
